Amazing aromatics that are very inviting. Dominant orchard fruits like peaches, peach ring candies and a sweet fruit salad. A very beautiful, floral and intense nose that jumps out from the glass. The freshness, the fruitiness of this wine hits you at the front of your tongue. Freshly picked and chopped fruit, very ripe peach and strawberry flavours. A great texture, almost silkiness to the wine.
The estate lies on the Via Aurelia- a former Roman road linking Italy and Spain. The Romans settled here in 2nd century BC. The Berne Wine Estate was created in 1750. Château de Berne consists of 350 acres of vines, sheltered by 1,600 acres of forests and nourished by the Berne river.
The vines are grown in harmony with nature to preserve biodiversity and foster wines expressing this distinctive area of Provence. The vineyard will be fully-organic in 2021.
