The Gamay Noir-based wines of Beaujolais are renowned for freshness, fruitiness and fun.
The Pisse-Dru Beaujolais is a perfect example of the vibrant deliciousness of this low-tannin red wine. The wine presents plum and red berry aromas with a subtle hint of spice.
The name Pisse-Dru refers to an old expression used by winegrowers in the Beaujolais region during the harvest. The grapes were said to "pisse dru" when they reached maturity meaning that they were bursting with juice.
