La Bout Du Monde - "The End of the World" - the name of this cuvée is derived from the ancient name of the vineyard site outside Chateau Cadillac…"Champs du Bout du Monde" or fields at the end of the world. They are on a Bordeaux Right Bank limestone plateau which is one in a series of riverside hills and plateaus where the appellations of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol sit.
The wine is made with soft extraction to allow the fruit to express itself both on the nose and the palate, is not over ripe, well balanced, with elegant tannins and a long finish. The winemaking is focused on traditional Right Bank methods including 12 months in new and old oak barrels. 100% Merlot.
