A stunning red wine from one of the most prestigious appellations in the Rhone Valley and one of most popular wines from the estate of Chateau Maucoil. This Chateauneuf du Pape is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mouverdre and Cinsault then aged in oak barrels to add depth and complexity to the flavour. The vines are between 40-50 years old and provide an inimitable character.
The Chateauneuf du Pape terroir is unique and renowned for large, round stones called ‘Galets’ which retain heat during the day and release it at night creating the ideal growing conditions for the grapes.
The Chateau Maucoil Chateauneuf du Pape is a beautiful expression of this terroir with rich, intense flavours of black fruit and spices and is built to age if you can resist the temptation!
