Through organic viticulture and improved farming techniques, Chateau Puynard is dedicated to crafting wine from the right bank of Bordeaux that reflect the vineyards in which they are grown. We focus on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, two grapes that reveal the geopgraphy and geology of the Right Bank – clay and Limestone. The Chateau has had a seven-generation history of wine making before us and we carry this legacy into the future with our commitment to the environment. Since November 2017, all of our vineyards commenced the process of achieving organic certification by Ecocert which was recognized in 2020. The goal is to grow the healthiest grapes the land will give us, in order to create the best wines that we can, that speak of the Blaye region.

Revealing a supple and clean attack, the palate also has a silky texture and a tender structure, where elegance leads us towards a long and aromatic finish. Very suitable for charcuterie, cold meats, grilled meats, barbecues and young cheeses. The Château Puynard Sans Soufre or 'sulphur free' wine is a new addition to our range.
