Distinction and refinement define this premium wine from Château Magdeleine-Bouhou. Rigourous work applied to the plot makes it possible to obtain grapes with a robust, fleshy and tasty skin. Harvested at full maturity, the fruits are vinified in small thermos-regulated concrete vats. A gentle extraction by pumping over and punching down allows the best expression, revealing intense aromas of black fruits, liquorice and cocoa. The wine is then enriched by prolonged aging in new 500L French oak barrels and in small capacity tuns.
Merlot and old Malbec vines, which profit from good sunlight exposure and set in clay-limestone soil, make up this top-of-the-range cuvée from Château Magdeleine Bouhou.
